Medical Billing & Coding

OneMedSpace Billing Center eliminates unnecessary claim denials and delays through a complete integration of workflow, billing and reimbursement management. Through a dedicated hierarchy of experienced billing/coding professionals, supervisors and quality control departments we ensure that you achieve the highest A/R ratio possible.

How does the medical billing process happen at OneMedSpace?

Electronic Claims Processing - All claims are submitted with specific diagnosis and accurate procedure codes, and modifiers when appropriate, and are sent directly to insurance companies. This system assures timely, accurate billing to all primary insurance carriers within 24 hours of receipt, and automatic billing of secondary and tertiary insurance carriers. Quality assurance is a key ingredient in our success. Managers double check all claims prior to submission to insure thorough and accurate billing. We verify that all claims transmitted electronically were received.

Claims Tracking & Payment Verification - Effective accounts receivable (A/R) begins with proper coding. Your claims are checked for proper order and placement of CPT codes and modifiers. All procedures and claims are tracked using computerized A/R software. Consistent, thorough, detailed follow-up is performed by insurance specialists, each dealing with select insurance carriers. As a result, we are able to secure payment within ten working days in most cases.

Posting of Payments and Financial Management Reports - Comprehensive monthly financial and management reports are provided as part of our basic services. Posted payments are reconciled to the penny.

Mailing Patient Statements - Monthly billing is also sent directly to patients for balances due. Our account representatives pursue outstanding balances via professionally written notices and courteous-yet-firm telephone contacts with patients.

HIPAA Compliance - By enacting the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 (HIPAA), Congress mandated the establishment of standards for the privacy and security of individually identifiable health information. OneMedSpace is committed to complying with these national standards to protect individuals' medical records and other personal health information.
